Frizzy Hair

The symptoms common with frizzy hair are split-ends, crinkling, dryness and lack of control which are caused basically by drying of follicles or damage to follicles resulting in broken or weakened follicles.

The frizzy hair causes can be categorized in four specific areas;

Excessive Dryness: Dryness and lack of control or lack of moisture results in Excessive dryness. Use of anti-frizz cream is recommended to soften roughness and add moisture.

Use of Chemicals: Chemical treatments like (coloring, perms, bleaching) can sap moisture, removes protective oils, and cause follicles to become excessively brittle. Consistent use of chemicals or coloring through regular treatments usually leads to this problem. Alcohol in any product, is considered as worst to use in hair as it dries up the hair much faster. Avoiding chemical treatment to the hair for minimum six months is recommended so that you regain your hair length and avoid further damage. The hair grows approximately 6-8 inches in a year.

Environmental Factors: Like Sun UVA/UVB, chlorine, and other contaminants are equally harsh on hair. In such circumstances you need to make arrangement for soft water, Drinking or mineral water to wash your hair. Not to forget you must always apply UV protectants.

Heat Damage: By using flat irons, rollers, curling irons, dryers etc..

How To Manage Unruly hair With Trendy Hair Styles

Trendy Slicked back hair

Managing unruly hair during summer months can be such a pain. It always seems easier to just toss your hair up in a ponytail rather than taking the time to try to blowout your  strands into a sleek, soft style.

 If you use the right products and accessories you can easily create fabulous hair styles, even during harsh summer months.

Here are a few trendy runway looks that can easily be managed in the summer:

Slicked back hair made its debut during fashion week and it has been popping up everywhere ever since. This look is often also referred to as a wet look and appears as though you just got back from a swim. It is super easy to do and it keeps your hair back out of your face. A wet look is sleek and stylish and it transitions perfectly from a pool party to a night out at the club.

Hair wraps are very popular this season. Whether they are pirate-like or vintage themed they are totally in for summer 2012. Some hair wraps cover all of your hair while others simply tie around like a headband. Some come in bright color and floral prints while others are more neutral and have a somewhat bohemian vibe. The best thing about this style is that it keeps hair up and out of your face and can easily hide a bad hair day.

Play around with the way you part your hair this summer. Center parts are making a comeback and they can add a lot to a hippie style. You can even wear a headband or other accessories with a sharp center part. Deep parts are also very in and they can completely switch up your look. Use a rat tooth comb and create a straight part right over the outer corner of your eyebrow. This is more of a sophisticated look so it is perfect for a night out and you can jazz it up with hair pins and barrettes.

No matter how you wear your hair this summer, break out of the boring old ponytail and try something a little different. Whether you just accessorize, switch up your part a little, or try an entirely new hair style it is always great to wear something out of the norm. You don’t give up fashion during the hot summer months, so why would you give up having fabulous hair?

Hot Tips To Perfect Natural Hair Care

Hot Tips To Perfect Natural Hair Care

It’s a fact; every woman desire the fashionable look of shiny and healthy “bone-straight-hair” but unfortunately use chemicals, straighteners or hair weaves to achieve this style.

The most common method of straightening hair involves the use of a heated flat iron that severely damages the hair’s shaft over time.

Now with the below mentioned tips you can straighten your hair naturally at home with natural, hair-friendly ingredients and without using the heating method.

Making Effective use of Coconut and Lemon:

To start Combine 1 cup of coconut milk with 1/4 cup of fresh lemon juice in a cup. Place this mixture in the refrigerator for 30 to 60 minutes or until the liquid turns into a paste.

Take out the paste and apply this cool coconut paste to your entire head of hair, and allow the paste to sit for at- least 10 minutes.

Just rinse out the coconut paste with cool water, and comb your wet hair with a wide-toothed comb.

Now allow your hair to air-dry. Repeat this process every week for naturally straight, shiny hair.

Application of Milk, Honey and Strawberries:

Mash three large strawberries in a small bowl with a fork.

Combine these mashed strawberries with 1 cup of milk and 2 tsp. of honey. Mix these ingredients together; ensure they form a creamy paste.

Apply the paste to your hair, and allow the paste to sit for two hours.

Shampoo and rinse your hair with cool water. Comb the wet hair with a wide-toothed comb.

Give sufficient time for your hair to air-dry. You must repeat this process weekly for straight and shiny long-lasting hair.

Using Eggs And Olive Oil For Shiny Hair:

Whisk together two eggs and 1 tbsp. olive oil in a small bowl.

Pick and divide the hair into small sections. Apply the oil mixture to one section at a time.

You must wrap the hair that’s covered in the oil mixture with tinfoil. Then allow the mixture to sit on the hair for two hours.

Just Shampoo the hair and rinse it with cool water. Comb the wet hair with a wide-toothed comb.

Now allow hair to dry naturally. Repeat this process weekly for straight, shiny hair.

Straightening Tip Using Only Milk:

This simple straightening method involves applying milk without anything added to the washed and dried hair with a spray bottle. Make sure to allow the milk to sit on the hair for at least 20 minutes before rinsing. Finally, Comb the hair straight while it’s wet.

Tips to prevent balding of hair
A healthy scalp is essential for healthy hair and healthy hair growth. Keeping your scalp exfoliated is easy, it can be done with products you probably already have in your kitchen.

No one like flakes, that’s why shampoo companies make special shampoo’s to prevent or eliminate them.

It is like all other skin on our body it needs to breathe, it needs oxygen, moisture and it needs nutrients. Exfoliating your scalp can be done as easy as shampooing your hair.

So just follow the recipe and instructions as mentioned below for healthy scalp.

* 1 cup granulated sugar

* 1/2 cup honey

* 2 drops vinegar (white)

Mix in a bowl, your head should be wet with very warm water prior to application. Gently massage mix throughout scalp in a circular motion. Make sure to cover entire scalp area, allow sitting for about three minutes then rinsing out. Shampoo and condition your hair normally.

If you have scalp irritation such as psoriasis, or eczema you should consult your doctor prior to using this mixture, although I have never heard of it hurting anyone with these conditions. It is always best to check first.

Here is a list of natural oils that you may find useful in your scalp and hair health.

Tea Tree Oil – it is natural antibiotic and antiseptic proven to be more effective at eliminating toxins. Tea tree oil is absorbed through the skin and enters the system to help prevent issues all over the body even if it was not topically applied to that area. Natural and very effective!

Aloe Vera – Prevents scarring and helps heal skin faster, moisturizing and nourishing

Thyme – Natures deep cleanser, a very strong natural astringent that assists in purifying the skin.

Sage – sage is extremely purifying and is one of the best ingredients to deep purify skin cells

Burdock– Helps to reduce the thicker oil in the skin. It also helps to remove toxins from deep within the skin.

Biotin – a vital vitamin to hair synthesis and cellular turnover. University studies have shown that lack of biotin in the scalp and hair cells results in hair thinning. The best way to get biotin is topically apply it.

All of these items can easily be found at any health food store and are usually very inexpensive. One of the most important aspects of our health in every area including beauty is to stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water, eat lots of fruits and vegetables, they are good to eat as well as good to put on your skin and hair. Nutrition for your hair and scalp should always first come from inside.
