Eating a balanced meal helps in making our body healthy. The same goes with your hair. Eating healthy food can promote healthy long hair. Our hair needs protein, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals and iron which can be found on foods. These essential nutrients will make our hair look healthier and stronger.
Our hair should get enough protein, which is the building block of our hair. We also need carbohydrates for our hair because it helps in assembling the proteins that promotes hair growth. Some of the vitamins that are also essential for a healthy long hair are as follows: Vitamin B complex, Folic acid, Vitamin B12, and Zinc. These vitamins are associated with energy production and helps in building good hair and skin issues.
Our hair follicles may have low energy levels like us. It is very important to eat food for our hair to re-gain its strength. For example eating meals with high protein at the start of the day can boost your energy levels considerably. Having a breakfast that is rich in protein regularly gives your hair the right glow it needs, apart from making it stronger and longer.
Eating red meat is also good for your hair, but be sure you do not have high cholesterol. If you are perfectly healthy, be sure to eat red meat twice a week. This will help your hair stay healthy. Make sure that aside from having a lot of protein, your body is also high in complex carbohydrates as this will help you gain energy. Brown short grain rice is rich in carbohydrates and is a good source of B vitamins too. Whole grain will compliment your protein dishes and will help you maximize the growth potential of your hair.
